OK. I GET IT!

Alright! I was all into the blogging thing, etc. until life hit me. I have two great kids, both of whom want my attention 24/7, work full-time from home while trying to take care of the kids, house, husband, dogs, etc. I get busy! I guess you could say I'm "trying" to master "juggling."

Updates:

Chris is still working for Falk Construction; and my parents since they decided to do a serious renovation on their house. For a while he was home and probably got sick of me nagging him, though that's probably not going to stop soon. I'm seriously OCD. He's got my heart forever.

Jake is in his second semester of preschool at WSU. He totally loves it! He's made great new friends and loves his teachers. He does gymnastics and is going to start baseball soon followed by karate. He did hockey for six weeks and basiscally just learned how to skate, but doesn't seem to thrilled to go back. His vocabulary and what he remembers kills me.

Kaycie is now almost 10 months old, has two teeth, says "mama" all the time, crawls like her mom runs and has already taken three steps. She sleeps all night and wakes up with the biggest smile on her face.

Me. Don't know where to start, kind of said it all. The good thing is that it's getting warmer so I can take the kids running with me in the stroller. My body is begging to be pushed and my 13th St. George Marathon is only months away.

In June we are going to New Hampshire/Massachusetts for 10 days for my cousin's wedding. It will be Jake and Kaycie's first airplane ride and first time at the beach! We are so excited! My WHOLE family is going, so it will be great. Bucky lucked out with Mara! Just to get away will be nice.

Ok, so I've updated. I promise I'll try to be better at doing so. Pictures are another thing though, so that may take some time.

Love you all,
Jennie

Where did the time go?

This summer has been SO busy. I just realized it's been over a month since I last updated the blog. I'm actually in court right now working off my laptop so I won't be able to add pictures until later.

The kids are doing great! Jake is as hilarious as ever and is so excited to start school next week. I can't believe he's starting preschool already! Kaycie is getting to be so big; she goes to the doctor tomorrow and I know I'll be in shock to see what her weight is. Her personality is also really starting to show and she's smiling a lot.

Chris, after a brief hospital stay, is doing a lot better. Thank God it wasn't major. I'm hanging in there. Looks like I won't be running in the St. George Marathon as I can't get the motivation to actually get out there and run.

Since I last blogged we spent our weekly family get away at Snowbird. Jake didn't want to come home and thinks that is where we should live. He also thinks he's a "pool shark" both in the water and on the pool table. Chris also had his 20 year high school reunion, which was a blast!!! It was great to see friends that we hadn't seen for a long time.

This weekend is Kaycie's baptism at our church. It just happens to fall on the Sunday where our church is celebrating "Christmas" in the summer. After the baptism we are having a bbq and then the kids and I are going camping with Mimi, Pa, and Uncle Pipes. Although since we are staying in a trailer, I don't know that it's really "camping."

Well, court is about to start so I had better log off... Toodles!

Bath time...

Since Kaycie has gotten bigger, we tried out the "big girl" bath tub. Of course the first time my hands were wet and I couldn't grab the camera, so these pictures are of her official "second big girl bath." She's still a little small but seemed to enjoy her "swim" in the tub once she got used to it.

More swimming...

I took the kids to the pool again today. While Kaycie lounged in the shade, Jake made a friend that let him use his life vest. Mimi and Pa told Jake as soon as he put a vest on, he could jump off the diving board. He did and loved it! Then he met up with his friends Hayley, Katelyn and Peyton Oyler and had fun in the little pool. Emily and I got to visit and talk running while the kids played and decided we're going to do it again next week. Uncle Pipes will be so happy Jake and Peyton had such a good time together.

The Scooter...

Jake's BFF Bode and his brother Josh got new Razor Scooters and when Jake saw them he said, "I got to get me one of these." Well he did and he's having so much fun he has hardly realized the "ouwies" on his knees.

She's definitely growing...

I took Kaycie back to the doctor's today for her second Hepatitis B shot and asked to have her weighed. I knew she had gained some weight since I took her in two weeks ago, but I wasn't prepared for how much she had gained. As of today, she now weighs a whopping 8 lbs. 12 oz.! She gained almost 2 lbs in two weeks! Which goes to show she definitely eats like her daddy!!!
